Elections

There is a City Election this year, with the Primary Election to be held on September 13, 2011 and the General Election will be held November 8, 2011.  The Polls will open at 7am and close at 8pm.  Following is a list of Wards and their respective Polling locations;

Ward 1- Washington School

Ward 2-Custer County District High School

Ward 3- Highland Park School

Ward 4- Jefferson School

Offices that are open for filing and their respective filing fees are:

Mayor                                     $200.00

City Judge                               $158.88

City Treasurer                         $200.00

Council persons                        $30.00

The filing period for these positions is from May 2, 2011 thru June 30, 2011 at 5pm.

For the City primary the Voter Registration will close on August 15, 2011 at 5pm.  Absentee ballots will be available on August 24, 2011 to Noon on September 12, 2011.

For the City general the Voter Registration will close on October 11, 2011, and Absentee Ballots will be available from October 19, 2011 to Noon on November 7, 2011.

Absentee Voting and Late Registration will be at our office here in the Courthouse.
